While you were sleeping, or just waking up, the U.S. House passed President Trump’s so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” by a vote of 215-214.
Overnight an amendment was slipped into the bill that not only took the tax on suppressors from $200 to $0, it completely removed suppressors from the NFA, effectively deregulating them from the 90 year old law.
This is a big win for our 2A rights for sure in the House, but even in this victory, a lot of “meat” was left on the bone.
While suppressors come off the NFA, SBRs, SBSs, and AOWs are still regulated.
The bill also funds the ATF to the tune of more than $1 billion a year.
With Republicans in control of the House, Senate and White House … this just isn’t enough.
Just to be clear, NONE of what happened overnight would be possible without your grassroots activism for months and years, demanding Congress ABOLISH THE ATF & REPEAL THE NFA.
Your pressure created this political environment, but still, what Congress did is not enough.
The good news is, there’s still time to get more of the “meat” left on the bone before this bill goes to President Trump’s desk.
Now that the bill has passed the House, it heads over to the Senate, where we believe there is an opportunity to get SBRs, SBSs, and AOWs taken off of the NFA.
But the American Firearms Association is not going to stop there. Why would we?
We’re asking the Senate to COMPLETELY REPEAL the National Firearms Act and ABOLISH THE ATF, and send it back over for a concurrence vote in the House.
As we’ve said all along, complete control of the government should not be wasted. Pressure must be put on Congress to go for it all, or we could wake up 18 months from now with Democrats in control of Congress.
That’s why I’m asking you first things first today to make a call to Senate Majority Leader John Thune.
Ask him to do three things in Trump’s so-called “Big Beautiful Bill”:
1. Vote to remove SBRs, SBSs, and AOWs from the NFA
2. Vote to REPEAL THE NFA
3. Vote to ABOLISH THE ATF

Keep an eye out for it and take action when you see it.
We’re a little over 120 days into President Trump’s second term in office.
Still there’s so much work yet to be done to get the federal government completely out of the Second Amendment business.
This will only happen with massive grassroots pressure.
