In Joe Biden’s budget just released $5.3 trillion budget, there’s a $1.7 billion INCREASE in funding for the ATF, an increasingly rogue, anti-gun agency already with 5,700 employees, hell-bent on the destruction of our Second Amendment rights.
This massive request for more of our taxpayer dollars comes on the heels of the ATF’s letter to FFLs regarding “forced reset triggers.”
Here’s a snippet from that letter:
“‘forced rest triggers’ are ‘firearms’ and ‘machineguns’ as defined in the National Firearms Act (NFA), and ‘machineguns’ as defined in the Gun Control Act (GCA).”
The ATF is clearly ramping up it’s attack on gun owners, FFLs and our Second Amendment rights, even worse than during the previous administration.
Here’s a recap of just the last two months:
>>> Biden’s ATF published a plan to make criminals out of millions of gun owners through a bureaucratic process without Congressional approval;
>>> Biden (and 57 Republicans in the House and Senate) rammed the “Feinstein / NRA Gun Control Bill” into law;
>>> We found out the ATF is maintaining a database of 920,664,765 firearms purchase records, including 54 million from last year;
>>> Biden appeared in NYC with anti-gun AG Merrick Garland and Socialist NYC Mayor Eric Adams, and by executive fiat promised billions of dollars in new gun control spending; and,
>>> Biden doubled down on his support for a National Gun Registry.
The anti-Second Amendment “Deep State” is headquartered at the ATF in Washington, DC.
There are ebs and flows in their assault on our gun rights depending on the administration in power, but the reality is, it’s a sustained assault by unelected bureaucrats in Washington, DC.
Here at the American Firearms Association, we believe there is only one solution — ELIMINATE THE ATF!

As each decade passes, the ATF gets worse, yet the politicians, and even more importantly, the establishment Second Amendment groups, do nothing to cut off the head of the snake.
With Biden and anti-gun Democrats in control of all levels of government right now, it’s likely that things are going to get much worse before they get better.
In 2023, there will be no more excuses.
Republicans must go on OFFENSE to ELIMINATE THE ATF, get rid of the agency, defund it, take away its powers, and then make sure no other bureaucracy tries to pick up the pieces.
